Additional Information: Theatre Under the Stars is looking to engage professional Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors as our artistic creative teams for our 2022 summer productions of We Will Rock You and Something Rotten! We welcome applications from professional artists who are interested in working with us in any of these capacities.
Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) is a not-for-profit society that presents high-quality, family friendly musical theatre in Vancouver’s beautiful Stanley Park. We bring theatre artists – professional and amateur, established and emerging, on stage and backstage – together with diverse, multi-generational audiences to create a vibrant summer experience that is much greater than the sum of its parts.
Our Creative Teams (Directors, Choreographers, and Music Directors) will bring their extensive professional experience to the musical theatre productions in Malkin Bowl at Stanley Park. We ask interested artists to submit a resume, letter of interest, and portfolio by Friday September 10, 2021. Our Creative Advisory Committee (which includes our General Manager, Production Manager, Board members, and community members) will review the applications and contact short-listed candidates for interviews.
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Statement: Theatre Under the Stars encourages submissions from artists of all backgrounds, regardless of race, gender, national origin, age, religion, creed, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. When hiring creative teams, we seek artistic leadership that (1) reflects the rich diversity of the performing arts community in Vancouver, BC and Canada, and (2) advocates for inclusion and representation in all aspects of the production process.
