TUTS values an atmosphere of inclusion and mentorship in order to build strong character and to promote positive values.
Since 1940, Theatre Under the Stars has presented entertainment at its outdoor venue in Stanley Park. It is a time-honoured tradition for thousands of Lower Mainland families as well as attracting visitors from around the world. Our average season’s attendance is 35,000 patrons. Since its inception TUTS has been the springboard for hundreds of individuals, many whom have gone on to successful careers either in the entertainment industry or as industry leaders in other fields.
Donations enable us to share the magic of live theatre with a broad spectrum of the population by keeping ticket prices at an affordable level. Theatre can enrich, inform, inspire and provide a sense of community.
Donations allow the hiring of professionals in key roles to mentor local youth and adults on and off the stage. Musical theatre is a training ground that develops discipline, teamwork, self-confidence and theatrical performance and technical skills.
